Every build you make gets a Chess.ID — a serial baked from the collection, material, and piece style you chose, generated once and never reissued. It's less a SKU and more a registration: proof of exactly what was built, for whom, and when. It travels with the board on a verification card — see /verify/ for how that works today, and where it's headed.
Every country collection carries a cause line, rotating across a handful of themes — youth chess, chess in schools, community clubs, girls in chess, rural outreach, chess for peace, chess & literacy, grassroots chess. As checkout and fulfillment come fully online, we'll publish exactly how that support works, collection by collection.
Every board is real scanned wood or stone, not a flat color fill — walnut, maple, rosewood, bamboo, marble, or a translucent acrylic. Underneath, it's a felt-lined case with a molded recess for every one of the 32 pieces, and it folds shut like a briefcase and travels like one. Order the Luxury piece set and all 32 pieces are individually hand-carved.
Every board is being designed to ship with a physical verification card and a QR code — today, that scan shows your board's origin and the cause it supports. We're actively exploring what it looks like to turn that same card into the key for an NFT drop down the line, so nothing about how you claim it will change later — just what it unlocks.
